Does anyone please have a risk assesment for non integrated working platforms on a forklift truck I can have a sample of.

Im about to be issued a prohibition notice for not carrying out a risk assessment on one, however the item in question had been stashed away and I had not ever been told the site had one. I now have to travel 200 miles to sort this mess out but want to be prepared for when I get there and any help would be appreciated.

They also have been using an attatchment to plough the snow which means they have been taked the FLT out in the snow. Ive never known anyone do this. Has anyone else known of this?

I had to look into this a few months ago, and I just about managed to stop us buying one. I think the important phrase is on the first page of the above guidance.

"However, they can be used with working platforms to allow people to work at height in exceptional circumstances only"

I take this to mean they should not be planned into normal work routines.

I stopped us getting one as well - on the grounds that we have a cherrypicker, and scissor lifts and cherrypickers are available to hire.

I think you should at least consider getting rid of it in line with HSE guidance referred to above.

If you do keep it, you need to justify why.
