Hi all, Been reading IOSH safety without borders and in there is says if staff need vaccinations or anti malaria drugs the employer must pay for them.

Are there any exceptions to this or is this the case point blank?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers

Do you expect your employees to pay for their own vaccinations and drugs, even though you are telling them to go overseas? Do they pay for their own flights and accommodation? Travel insurance?

If they go and decide not to pay for the vaccinations etc and then fall ill, since the employer told them to go then the employer is legally liable and might be sued. Duty of care and all that…
