Hi, I have recently started working for a soft services facilties managment company, and no-one seems to think that the extraction fans for the kitchens are LEV and the only mainatinace I can find for them concentrate on cleaning the grease from the filters and the ducts.

I think this is because grease is not a substance hazardous to health, but could anyone confirm for me the mainatenaince these extraction systems require under PUWER.

Thank you for help

What about the fire safety side of things - does the food grease/oil accumulate in the ducting etc? Could be a fire risk.
