Morning all,

Does anyone know much about EU OSHA and how they operate? Are they the HSE equivellent for most european countries, or do they work alongisde the HSE equivellent for each european country?

More of an information and advisory service to the commission although they do work with national regulators in each member state such as the HSE

 I once attended a presentation by someone from the EU OSHA and they explained what the agency did. Essentially is job is to coordinate H&S across the EU and to ensure that everybody singing from the same hymn sheet.

They are small unit only about 100 staff but bizarrely the committee that oversees their work has nearly 120 members.
