Can anyone help!

I work for an aviation company to which supply and service all aircraft parts! Some of those parts are toilets and several components within. Now these items are shipped to our location not cleaned! So straight of the aircraft and shipped but these from my understanding are bio-hazard products falling under classification 6.2 Infectious substances! If thats correct does anybody know how these should be shipped in accordance to the road transportation regulations? We get them turn up in just unidentified boxes with no labelling on the outside!

Looking for any help.

Thanks

ADR covers the carriage by road of hazardous goods

It is available as a free pdf download:

https://www.unece.org/trans/danger/publi/adr/adr2017/17contentse0.html

Note: this is the link to the revised standard - the HSE web site currently points to the 2013 version

From my experience with the water industry I do not believe the transportation of items contaminated with sewage is classed as a bio-hazard?  There are risks with dealing with them but there is nothing that cannot be controlled easily through good working practices, PPE, personal hygiene etc.

I believe they use disinfectant wash water in plans and once sewage dries out most of the bacteria dies. From memory I also believe most of the viruses die quit quickly once outside of the body. If you think about it most people are exposed in one form or another!
