Anyone came across so far with the issue that the fire exit signs in a building site is not compliant unless the are photoluminescent. Is there any legal requirement that the exit signs must be ' glow in the dark '? Thank Cris

Can I also add: http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/priced/l64.pdf

QUOTE: 114 If the level of natural light is poor, then adequate illumination (which includes emergency lighting) will be required. Signs incorporating photoluminescent materials may also have a role in poor light conditions.

I think this is circumstance based rather than mandatory

As this is a Building site I would add that CDM regs just state suitable signage and therefore refer back to the Health & Safet (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996
