slinging signalling / crane supervision and be as an appointed person.

how long does it take to get to that stage -

-studying materials - books or pdf

-NVQs  in college

where should I start..

This also depends on the type of crane that is being used. ALLMI focus specifically on lorry loaders, but the slinger signaller, crane supervisor aspects are very similar. They also have their own appointed persons course.

I have performed all my training with ALLMI from operator through to AP and instructor and find them highly profeessional and respected throughout the construction industry. The CSCS logo can be added to an ALLMI card. 

My work is exclusive to lorry loader cranes but the skills gained have allowed me to transfer lift plans to the FLT's on site. A ifting process is very similar irrespective of the equipment used (soem may disagree).

Have a think of where yuo want to be and what you are looking at doing as there are varried routes that will give you the same outcome.
