We are looking to procure some bean bags for our university and the supplier has confirmed that those that they supply have been tested in accordance with the BS5852 part 1:1979, Cigarette test and the BS5852 part 1:1979, match test (i have seen the certification for this)

Does anyone know if the BS5852 is the correct testing standard or if another should be used instead?

These are published by BSI as BS EN 1021-*:2014 in replacement of their 1994 and 2006 predecessors

Smoke Free environments have no bearing as specific legislation exists

The Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 with ammendments in 1989, 1993 and 2010 do not seem to specify test methods
