The organisation I work for is currently reviewing its health and safety framework and I want to start by carrying out a Risk Profile exercise.

For the purpose of this discussion - a risk profile is an outline of the most important risks the business faces , the potential consequences and what is being done about it.  In other words, it’s a high level view and is not be confused with risk assessment.

I've begun to identify the risks however before I start profiling them i.e. adding them to a framework for monitoring and assurance, I want to ask if any members have a risk profile template they would be willing to share?

Hi

Sorry, to move away from your original request, but isn't this a case of "reinventing the wheel" ?  I would have thought your BCP would have already identifed the business risks, consequences and actions ?

If the company doesn't have a BCP, then I would suggest that this is something that should be undertaken at Director/Owner level (admittedly with some involvement by the H&S Dept) as it needs high level input/authority in order to make the decisions as to what the business needs will be.

Just my opinion for what it's worth...

Thanks for your reply.  Our BCP focuses very much on financial risk hence my post!
