I am seeking guidance/ advice on whether Hospitals across the UK are service maintaining their anaesthetic gas scavenging systems to the full requirements of HSG 258 "Controlling Airborne Contaminants". In particular I would welcome comments on whether the  "Thorough Examination & Test" as detailed in HSG 258 is undertaken on these scavenging systems". I have conflicting advices stating that the test can be completed and in some cases advices stating the full "Thorough Examination & Test" cannot be completed.

Appreciate any guidance.
