Afternoon I am looking for some information on the way that French industry should carry out a COSHH assessment. From what I have been told it seems to me that they only use the MSDS and do not relate this to the process or produce a separate assessment. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Carrier,

Depending on how urgent/important your query is you might like to try the website of ANSES here in France-this means Agence nationale de securite saniitaire de l'alimentation, de l'environnementet du travail or in English: the National agency for food safety, environment and labour.

It provides a very extensive treatment of the three subject areas with reference to oel's, etc and no doubt the equivalent of COSHH perhaps but you or someone else will need a good grasp of technical French . So, it depends how far you want go.

There is also the Labour Code which might assist-this covers pretty well all of the laws covering work [travail]

Have fun

Regards

Mike]
