Fire risk assessments communal areas which are mainly staircases and lobbies - 3 storeys in a large house - 3 flats on each storey that are privately owned and open onto the staircase - one staircase - one exit to the external area.Secured entry system fitted
Question is should these flats have fire doors fitted. They are not HMOs, not really purpose built so some of the legislation does not really apply. I suggest it is best practice to fit them and would say they must be fitted above 4 storeys. Not sure on the compartmentation as I have no records or surveys, I am just going on best practice. Anyone provide better answers???

Given the information I would agree it would be prudent to fit FD30s flat doors. If not a HMO it is as close as you can get. Are there any other fire interventions i.e. fire alarm, smoke detectors for the communal areas?
