Our company are looking to no longer outsource our RPA but instead to develop the capability in house.

I understand that the HSE has appointed 3 authorising bodies to verify the competency of RPA candidates. I also understand the table of minimum competencies & the process.

What my question is, what kind of external courses do you believe would contribute towards achieving these minimum competencies? I am trying to develop a career/training plan for a potential candidate and combine this with the exposure the individual would have at work to our radiation activities.

A minimum of a Science Degree and years of applying this knowledge in range of situations.  You really need to be in role where you do this thing all of the time to be able to qualify as an RPA which is why most organisations including Universities have external RPA’s.
