So, if an electric hand power tool is supposed to have a safety handle fitted then am I correct in assuming that its pnuematic equvalent has the same? They are no different? Can still take your arm off if not used correctly? PUWER is PUWER???

FYI, no loss of arm just a discussion I'm having ;-)

I am now guessing  what you are asking about but if a pneumatic tool has a safety handle and it has passed all of its safety requirements with the safety handle and obtained a CE mark, removing the safety handle  most likely invalidates the CE mark (and the Certificate of Conformity)   which means that it can no longer be used as Work Equipment .

I guess they will be the same, if the handle is there for the same reason - to help use the tool.

Don't think the power source has much to do with it.

The handle unscrews, probably to help with packing away.

Yes I would agree that the handle is there to steady the tool and keep one of your hands out of the way! Power source is irrelevant.

Thanks!
