Unless this is some form of trolling Welcome.

we are friedndly as long as you remember the following:

You agree with everything everybody says, even if it self-contradictary.

You get credibility points for denouncing the Daily Mail

Don’t ask if an incident is RIDDOR reportable and expect a straight forward YES NO answer

Don’t ask about whether the ban on using a mobile phone does (or even should) extends to using hands free unless you want to be sucked into a long, long thread.

Remember Competence is a mixture of skill, training and ability, temperament and knowledge-no more needs to be said on that topic. Ever. Again.Please.

thanks 7 users thanked A Kurdziel for this useful post.

Speaking of Romans I can remember a documentary on TV  a few years ago and some experimental  archaeologists were trying to work out how the Romans managed put up  a giant canvas cover over  the Colosseum  on sunny days. They considered the various methods they might of used but concluded  that they were all  too risky  as they involved “sailors” climbing out on 50 foot spars to attach canvas about 100 feet above the arena floor.  My thought was: The arena was a place where people were put to death to entertain the masses-they would not have worried that much about the odd person falling to their deaths. In fate they might have cheered as they fell!”

I suspect that the Daily Mail would have approved!
