Good morning, I am looking for the legislation on ATEX signage, specifically the font. As throught the research that I have done I cannot find specific guidelines. I downloaded the ATEX Guidelines 2014/34/EU 2nd Edition December 2017. I found this within the guidelines: the description of the Ex marking ("epsilon-x" or "the hexagon"), although it has not been retained in the new legislation, remains useful as a guidance for manufacturers and all the interested parties. The show a specific font in the guideline, is there a specific requirement for this?
Hope someone can assist me in this.

Not 100% sure but I suspect if it is Ex safety signage you are referring to the font and size etc should be covered in ISO 7010 guidance?

The Ex in a hexagon is shown as a requirement in the UK version of the legislation (The Equipment and Protective Systems Intended for Use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2016) where it is listed as one of the Essential Health and Safety Requirements.
