Good Afternoon,

Does anyone know if an RNLI Casualty Care certificate is equivalent to a "normal" first aid certificate (either Emergency First Aid or First Aid at Work)?

The certificate is the UKSAR Medical Group - Level III Intermediate Casualty Care

Your help and/or comments will be gratefully received

I've accepted a variety of first aid qualifications (usually Mountain Leader or Sports) - after all, it's my First Aid Needs Assessment that determines what Imy workplace has, how many & what level so I can be flexible. If you're not sure, ask them to provide a copy of the syllabus - I bet the RNLI version covers as much, if not more, than a standard 1 day EFAW course. You could always 'top it up' if needed - we add epilepsy/anaphylaxis as that's something we deal with (infrequently).
