Hi We hided cherry picker and scissor lift for decorator to paint metal steel frames about 7m up. What shkuld he provide to let him operate and work on this equipment? Also our staff need to use it.they have old ipaf licence. One person was train the trainer. All cards are about 15 20 years old. How to assess their competence to operate?

The cards are out of date and should be upgraded and the operatives given familiarisation training on the mobile elevating work platfrom (MEWP) selected. See link below:

If you follow the information provided in this link when undertaking your risk assessment, carrying out training with a recognised training provider and selecting your harnesses/lanyard and other necessary equipment then you should be doing all you need to comply with the law.
