morning all, does anyone have a site where i can research and potentionaly purchase a few electronic vibration logs. apparently they fix to your electrical equipment!!

thank you George for the link iam actually looking for a device that attaches to the electrical tool being used and logs the hours.

A company called Reactec do HAVTAGS but they said these are being phased out-their new system is HAVWEAR (measuring the individual reather than the machine(s). My organisation is trialling HAVWEAR at the moment.

Most likely a waste of time and money in my opinion, I cannot foresee any scenario where such information would be useful (for risk assessment nor legal defence), although companies do still indeed market them as panaceas for all your HAVS problems and responsibilities.
Just assess the risk - all that is required is an estimate exposure and duration - the HSE repeatedly state that exact measurement of both time and exposure are not necessary. Then depending upon results look at the need for tool replacement, task re-deisgn, or job / worker rotation (with training for users and line managers how/why) if usage limits must be imposed, with medical surveillance etc where appropriate.
