Hi Everyone

I've been tasked in writing a guide for the senior leadership team for when they visit offshore installation in relation to a project that is ongoing. Its not si much a descriptive guide such as checklists etc its more holistic in that how do they approach the workforce, what message do they portray and what the need to focus and conversation that should be undertaken...any help would be much appreciated. :-)

Step Change in Safety would be a good place to start.  Maybe this publication https://www.stepchangein...aching-safety-guidelines

I recommend a short book by Tim Marsh called "Talking Safety" which should give you some inspiration for this project.  Alternatively, you might be able to get away with giving them the book and telling them which pages to read.  It is written in an informal, easy to read style and has some nice examples including examples of how it can go wrong.

I think it was A Kurdziel who recommended this book to me on here.  It was a good recommendation.

thanks 2 users thanked Kate for this useful post.

Thanks for that Kate - I've been looking for something myself and this might fit the bill.
