Hi,
I have recently joined a company and would like to intruduce a Close Call Application for smart phones, so staff can report Close Calls easily. Most of the developers want a lot of money or their app demos do not look great, can anyone point me in the write direction of a good developer please?

There are an increasing number of sites where you can develop your own apps some are free to try or free with limitations. Might be an option for you before you spend on development to find out it's not something that catches on.

I am currently working on a web application, what I will say is stay well away from freelancers on upwork and people per hour that are charging under $50-$75 per hour you will not get what you pay for. I learnt the hard way, i didn't listen to the thousands of people on forums explaining this. Without sounding racist, It is much much easier getting a developer that is English or American, or even German/French with fluent English. India etc the communication is really hard and when you think its ok and they say everything is ok... it isn't. Develop a mockup on marvelapp its easy to design a decent mockup for developers. Learn to code yourself, I am currently learning ruby on rails. A fairly basic/good app will cost you around 200 developer hours minimum at a rate of $50 minimum Hope that helps a little!
