I am the Clients H&S advisor for a project that has several sites around the South coast, with several PC's and subbies, this project has been going for over three years, nearing completion, with only minor incidents, that is until recently, in the past few months we have seen an increase in incidents including four RIDDORS.
My question is how do I inject a new impetus with regards to H&S? I have tried to push it on to the PC's (rightly or wrongly) but it feels that all parties have got project fatigue and can no longer be bothered to
push their own H&S culture let alone the clients.
What do you recommend, Is it too late, am I wasting my time?
Answers on a postcard, or even here if you have any.
Thanks
Murray.

If you are coming to the later stages of the project then often contractors start to move their better staff on to other projects. If there is this change over of staff then you should be ensuring that they are qualified and inducted into the site and getting them into the culture that you have created at the start. This is always a testing time as you have got the existing workforce where you want them but the newcomers you have to start from scratch. Its a test of you as much as anyone else as you may be coasting as well after doing the heavy lifting at the beginning.

Hi David, yes, totaly agree and yes even I as the client am getting a bit jaded with saying the same things now that was said at the start of the project.
