Our consultancy business has a client who will be undertaking site installation work in various European countries. I understand that some European countries insist on medical checks being undertaken for staff. This may be just for high risk activities such as using MEWP's or for any work undertaken.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a definitive list of the medical checks / certification required for working in the various European countries?

Thank you

Interested in this also as we have the same requirement.

I know our guys had to have a medical check in Poland but it was all very unofficial. It was with a doctor and the payment was required in cash.

This will be difficult as there are 27 member states each with their own local rules.  This looks like an old legal requirement left over from the days of the Workers’ Republics, when it was insisted upon to show that the State and Party cared for the workers’ health. In reality it was just a show and nowadays is just a way for medics to get quick bucks.
