Well the time has come. This is my last day at work as I have chosen to retire. I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has participated on these forums during my many years as a IOSH member. It has been invaluable to have access to so many different views and opinions, and to be able to pick the brains of my fellow practioners. Here is hoping that you all have a great Christmas, and every success and happiness in the New Year.

I wish you a happy retirement. I have always enjoyed reading your enlightening posts and maybe you will continue posting...or maybe not. As you will be aware I retired in March and have no regrets - there is a life outside 'elf and safety.

Are you sure H&S people can retire? I think once you have been in this game for a while you look at the world differently and not sure that will ever go away. I guess you will just not be paid for it anymore. Don’t you think you will miss the big wages, flashy cars and public / company admiration that comes with the job? Happy retirement
