Hi, my employer has been given the green light to use part of the neighbouring company's building for storage. I have been asked to put together a risk assessment covering my company's operations/activities and provide feedback for both parties. I had a general look around the building and there is minimal activity from the neighbours small group of employees within the part of the building that we intend to use, but they do use it for storage also. I have requested Risk assessments, COSHH assessments and Fire evacuation information/procedure from the neighbours management. I would be greatly appreciative if anyone could provide me with further information on the subject of shared occupancy and other things I may need to look at for example-

  • Should I request information regarding First aid?
  • Does the neighbouring company have to review their Health and Safety Policy?
  • Regarding Incident and Emergency plans would it be best practice if our employees signed in and out?
  • What about the neighbours liability insurance?

Again any information or pointers would be greatly recieved. Thanks.
