Well recently applied to join the committee but got rejected email and told the following

Unfortunately, after careful consideration, the Nominations Committee has not short listed you to attend an interview.

The Nominations Committee received a number of high calibre applicants for this role and selected what they believe to be the most suitable candidates for interview, taking into consideration the information and level of detail provided on each application form, the candidates’ background and experience in relation to the competences for the role of this particular committee member.

They asked me to acknowledge your keenness to become more involved within the central governance structure and want to stress that this should not prevent you from submitting an application for any other governance vacancy arising in future that may be of interest to you.

Wondering what to do next with IOSH currently a Topic Advisor and Mentor, any suggestions to get more involved apart from the local branch which is full?

If Chartered, you could look to become an SDP/OA Assessor, or become a Peer Review Panel Member. Jamie
