Hi All,

Does any one know of any training providers who can provide a course on occupational dermatitis?

Thanks,

‘Dermatitis training’ covers a wide range of possible topics. For example, this could be concerned with the prevention of damage to health due to workplace skin exposure. At the opposite end of the spectrum it could be the investigation and management of a skin issue in the workplace suspected of being occupational in origin. It might also be concerned with hand hygiene and the prevention of infection in a healthcare setting, and to meet the requirements set out in the current ACoP for COSHH it might need to include what is involved the a modern approach to  skin health surveillance.

Whilst there are common elements in all of these, each will have content that is less relevant to the others. The investigation aspect would almost certainly involve collaboration with a dermatologist for the clinical investigation, where briefing them about the workplace conditions is essential if what could be described as a ‘clinically accurate, occupationally irrelevant’ diagnosis is to be avoided.

Obviously, to cover all this in a posting on this thread is simply not possible, but if anyone would like more feel free to PM me with any questions.
