Can anybody offer advice on a driving behaviours course that has a real effect on the attitude of people who drive while at work, I am not looking for something that covers the theory but something that helps change attitudes.

attitudes to: speeding, distraction, courtesy, aggression?

There are many providers with many focused courses.

Those who have chosen education to points swear by the Speed Awareness courses run by certain police forces.

Quite a number of ex-traffic officers run "Defensive Driving" style courses teaching drivers to anticipate and react accordingly to the traffic situation.

Several companies provide driver assessments. An instructor sits in with the driver and sees what bad habits they have picked and then makes suggestions as to how they can improve their driving. I hate the phrase “defensive driving” since people seem to think it’s about the sort of driving you seen in films about bodyguards etc. Not what we want!

If your company has a vehicle fleet and company fleet insurance then a good place to start is with your insurer.  They often offer a variety of courses using a number of different training media and sometimes will even consider reduced premiums if you put your drivers through their courses.  Worth a call and a discussion with them.

Not sure how readily available these are (or if you can hire/book them) but I recently saw a post about VR training - see http://www.norfolk-pcc.gov.uk/news/virtual-reality-goggles-for-young-drivers/ which might be an option for you to consider?
