The company that I work for is in the process of applying for ISO-45001 and 14001 accreditations. The register of legislation that I have is out of date and I need to create a new one.

I would be very grateful if someone could send me or give me a link to an updated register of legislation that I could modify or adapt to my business activities as our stage 1 audit is at the end of November and I already have alot of work to do. Even a summary of HS&E legislation would be useful.

Thank you.

SK - this is an ongoing problem for many seeking and retaining ISO accreditations.

Either you actually keep a register in which case you have a daily headache keeping up with the changes or you identify what groups of legislation are relevant and set out how you keep up to date with developments.

Without knowing what sort of business you are in, it would be very difficult to point you to some authoritative source of what is relevant today, including e.g. whether or not to know exactly which Covid legislation is relevant to your business.

How about the one the HSE publishes?

I produced my register by going through the HSE website A-Z looking at each topic that was relevant to us and listing the applicable legislation, how it applied to us, how we complied and who in the organisation was accountable.

Even if you start out with a ready-made list of legislation you will still have to do most of this work.

Cedrec have a free legal update bulletin (one for H&S and one for environmental).

You really want to be sure to relate  the legislation to what you do

I've just gone through teh process of looking for companies that supply variously legislation summaries, information, updates and systems that maintain registers.  I don't claim this is an exhaustive lisrt - it's who I found without searching too hard.  Several of these have free bulletins you can sign up to.  This is no particular order:

Remember 45001 requires a legal and other register. It is not necessarily just a list of legislation, but also how it is implemented and the impact on your organisation.
