Correct date for the disposal, storage & use of existing stocks of pesticides. I have been using the HSE (Plant protection products with authorisation for use in the UK) also an excel download (PP products expiry dates as recorded in CRDs internal data base on the 18/08/2017) also word document downloads (Withdrawal / amendments of plant protection products in the UK) The above all give me different expiry dates. Which date should I use ?. If the pesticide I’m looking for doesn’t appear in the HSE data base, can it still be used in the UK. Is there a separate data base for withdrawn products ?. Please advise

As far as I recall from the days that Defra ran the Pesticides Safety Directorate you can only use those pesticides on the approved list. You can apply for a new permit for a product but that will take some time. HSE can and will seize any unauthorised pesticides.

Is the question you ask perhaps about pesticides that have had their authorisation withdrawn on a phased (rather than immediate) basis?

If so, perhaps the starting point is
