Hi all,

I'm looking for definitive guidance on how often gas pipework in industrial / commercial premises should be tightness tested.

I have trawled through IGEM standards but cannot find anything solid.

For example, Edition 2 of IGEM/UP/2 states a tightness test should be done 'typically 5 yearly'. But this has been removed from Edition 3!

Searches online suggest it should be done every year but I also cannot find anything specifically stating this.

What I'm after is a standard or guidance document which specifically states how often it should be done. Sometimes when you ask people to do such things, the response is 'where does it say I have to do it?'

Thanks in advance.
