An exciting opportunity to work as part of a new and innovative, forward thinking company.

Shipshape Solutions Ltd are looking to source a dedicated safety professional for a post covering the South Wales area in the near future. As a Health and Safety Advisor the post will form part of a specialist team providing training and advice on appropriate risk management issues and to provide quality advice; support and training that will allow clients to work in a safer environment.
You will have experience of risk management and control and will play a key role in developing risk policies for the client. In addition, you will provide advice and support to ensure that the risk management agenda is well co-ordinated across all business sectors.

We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, enthusiastic and proactive individual with excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills. Experienced in working with clients and their staff to bring about change. We are looking to appoint a professional to support the implementation of our risk management systems.

Key responsibilities:

1. Implement and maintain effective health and safety management systems for our clients that meet and excel beyond legislation standards.

2. Working with clients team members to develop and implement system procedures and guidance documents providing support, ensuring professional development needs are understood conducting regular reviews and setting annual performance plans.

3. Ensuring appropriate systems are in place for maintenance and management of routine assessments and health surveillance.

4. Participate in the client’s company annual appraisals to ensure effective communication with directors, senior management and all other relevant departments.

5. Provide and manage individual absence management for client’s employees

6. To maintain professional standards in accordance with current occupational health practice and legislation.
