Posted By James Byatt The Company: Fibre-optic communications firm - installation & maintenance of comms equipment on motorways & high-speed trunk roads + Traffic management division + Civil Engineering/Construction Division for additional works orojects. Based in Cwmbran with satellite offices in Bristol & Conwy (North Wales) Approx. 200 employees. The Role: Act as company's competent person. Duties include auditing, site inspections, policy writing, implementation & reviewing, training incl inductions, TBT's & safety refreshers/workshops. Accident investigations, liaison with clients, agents, planning superviors etc. All the usual stuff - no surprises here. There will be some travelling between the offices and other sites and occassional overnight stays will be required. If you have the drive and determination to take safety forward within this organisation then the role will provide a suitable challenge to the experienced safety professionals amongst you. The Package: POA! We are after someone who is a corporate member of IOSH or not far off and a construction backround may help you to hit the ground running. Email me direct or post a response for any further questions and feel free to send CV's. I'm the current postholder and have just handed in my notice. I'm here until the end of the year but a hand-over would be beneficial to both parties so start date is ASAP. Regards, James

Posted By James Byatt I have nothing more to add, this is just an attempt to get my post back to the top and overtake the utter tosh taking up the top 5 slots. The above statement is my own opinion and in no way reflects the views of the company I (currently) represent... By the way, thanks to all the direct responses to date. Keep 'em coming. James

Posted By James Byatt Thankyou web-co-rodinator/monitor. Can you do me a favour and remove my responses now, just so no-one thinks I'm reffering to the "current" top 5 as utter tosh! Cheers, James
