I am investigating the possibilities of starting a consultancy with 2 former colleagues (both current Fire Service members). I am MIOSH and have 5 years h&s experience in construction (2 in rail). We have done work for a small amount of clients, mainly industrial, to their satisfaction, but we are having trouble in forming a pricing structure and strategy. I realise there may be conflict of interest here, but can anyone give me advice or point me in the right direction as to where this can be obtained. Any other advice on this subject would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation

Simple mate charge as much as you can and you will be surprised at what you can get away with.
I am not a consultant but expect to pay about £700+ a day + disbursements for MIOSH RSP.
or about £85 -120 hour.
The consultants on here will not tell you what they charge as they operate on what they know their break even price is!
Problem you have mate is that the price varies fron which part of the country you live, so a job in say Falmouth is different from the same job in Kent.
I would suggets that you quote on a job by job basis and do not advertise a day rate, you may have to take a lesser % profit to get you started.
