Posted By Mark Fitzpatrick I have just completed Techsp with the TUC and would appreciate some words of wisdom as to my next course. Perhaps NVQ4 or Dip 4. May be the general certificate, although some people say the Techsp is equivelant.

Posted By Paul Parry If you actively work in H & S and have plenty of documented evidence of achievments, particularly influencing and making policy then the NVQ4 route I suggest might be best. It also makes financial sense as you dont have to do Dip 1 and 2 with NEBOSH to get the same qualification (that alone is a good reason). If you decide to do the DIP 1 route do it with the British Safety Council- ask anyone who has done NEBOSH Dip 1 and they will tel you why !. Also its worth noting that qualifications are ok but nothing beats proven experience of doing the job, the NVQ will give you this.
