Does anybody else - self-employed, consultants, mothers - find it difficult (nay, impossible) to attend training courses (for vital CPD points), when the courses are always mid-country and involve at least one overnight stay? Is it only I who thinks there is probably a need for more local courses? I live in SE and with child care to consider and a self-employed husband with erratic hours, I find it impossible to commit to the IOSH courses.
Would love to hear your views. Sheila

Remember you don't need to attend formal courses to gain CPD points - there are plenty of other methods open to you.
Also, if you are within relatively easy reach of your local IOSH branch meeting venue try to attend some of these - they only usually last a couple of hours, so the cost of babysitters etc should be minimal
