Jacobs Babtie is a 4000 strong technical and management consultancy with offices throughout the U.K. and overseas. These include 27 advisers and trainers in our H&S consultancy unit, which has tripled in size since 2001.
We have found over 10 staff with varying backgrounds and experience through this forum.
The diversity of Jacobs Babtie’s operations offers H&S professionals [at all levels] the chance to take on a challenging workload that will enhance their career development.
Our advisers have recently reviewed health and safety standards at BP projects in Docklands and the Far East, hence the title of this posting!
We are now looking for an advisor to be based at one of our offices in the South East.
The successful candidate will be likely to have attained at least MIOSH status. Experience of the development/delivery of H&S training would be a distinct advantage.
You will be looking for a position where you can broaden your experience and assist the career development of more junior colleagues.
Current workload in the South East includes site inspections and planning supervision for English Partnerships and Royal Mail, and auditing of Network Rail, Chiltern Railways and Interfleet HSW management systems.
We have recently been awarded contracts to audit 25 private hospitals, and various local authority activities.
Also we provide advice and training to our internal client, so that there is opportunity to get involved in the full range of Jacobs Babtie projects, e.g. relating to our framework commission for the Environment Agency, and projects at sites such as the M1/M6 interchange, Aldermaston, the London Eye, Battersea Power Station, and Dartford road and cable tunnels.
