No Dip level 1 anymore - but what's the alternative?

The NEBOSH Dip Level 1 has been stopped now. However, this proved to be an accessible route for H&S training. I was about to enrol on the Dip 1 course only to find that no-one does it anymore, yet there is very very little guidance and clear information as what the new entry level is. I have over 3 years experience in H&S but no formal qualifiaction. The Dip Level 1 would have been perfect. As far as I can now see the only other available option is the expensive BSC diplomas.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?

The entry route (assuming you want to go the NEBOSH route) has to be the NEBOSH Certificate followed by the level four diploma.
There is also the NVQ route to accreditation too which might be of use to you if your in a H&S position.

As Jason says the NEBOSH National General Certificate is an excellent course for providing a foundation qualification.
For correctness - there never was a NEBOSH level 1 course - It was NEBOSH Part 1. (see my thread entitled NEBOSH level 2 ? in the Study Support Forum)
Best regards
