I have completed both Occupational Health and Safety and Occupational Health and Hygiene modules , as well as modules in Ergonomics, Legal Studies, and Safety Management Systems. I would be grateful for advice regarding this Health &Safety qualification, for example do employers and companys in the UK recognise this qualification ? Regards, Shane Durkan

Posted By Hazel Harvey Shane, Your qualification is accredited by IOSH as meeting the academic requirments for corporate membership so would be recognised by employers for this level. If you were to join IOSH now you would get either GradOSH or MIOSH and after 2 years during which you undertake CPD you can transfer to 'Chartered MIOSH' status. If you don't join until after September 30th you will be required to undertake an Initial Professional Development (IPD) programme which will require you to develop a skills portfolio and attend a professional interview. This process is also a minimum of 2 years. More details are available on this website in competent to the core.
