Posted By In Safe Hands Young and committed health and safety professional currently looking to progress his career onto the next level. I am currently employed as an Assistant Health and Safety Manager and have 5 years experience of working in hazardous industries (presently construction) and after covering a lengthy period of sickness cover I would like the opportunity to progress my career forward onto become a distinguished Health and Safety Manager. My current qualifications include the NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Diploma Parts 1 & 2 and I am currently studying the NEBOSH Construction Certificate (exams to be taken in December 2005). I would consider myself to be a good communicator who is enthusiastic and a good team player. I have a good knowledge of current best practice and legal requirements and the ability to develop policies, systems and procedures that will enable relevant compliance. Past and present employment has involved working heavily with Senior Management, Trade Unions and the Health and Safety Executive. My current roles and responsibilities include: · Developing health and safety policies · Carrying out Risk, COSHH, Manual Handling, Display Screen, Noise and Vibration Assessments · Producing method statements · Developing procedures · Carrying out detailed accident investigations · Producing accident statistics · Attending health and safety committee meetings · Developing health and safety training packages · Carrying out sub contractor vetting / appraisals · Carrying out site audits and inspections Whilst I am willing to travel to various areas of the country as part of my work I would very much like to be based from the South Yorkshire / North Nottinghamshire area. No consultancies or agencies please. Kind regards
