We used james@greenfieldinsurance.co.uk we found him to be the cheapest for us. You could if self employed join the Federation of Small Business's (FSB)our local recruiter is Chris Davis 01425 614179. They do some remarkable deals but you do have to join, however when joining you get free criminal liability cover up to one million pounds which no other insurer will do, the FSB underwrite it themselves loads of other benefits too. Hope this is of help.

Amongst the variables you need to consider are

Cover you want per claim, per year

Cover your clients demand

Excess

Exclusions and conditions, e.g. re asbestos, contamination, toxic mold

Run off insurance after you stop trading

How you limit liabilities via terms of appointment.

Regards, Peter
