Posted By Tony Brunskill We are recruiting and I am torn between "The Practitioner", Agency or National Press. Anyone able to advise where they have received the best response.

Posted By Rob T I'd always suggest the SHP route as it hit's the all the people who have an interest. Most safety professionals read the practioner from back to front anyway! I've always received better candidates from the SHP and I've used both methods.

Posted By David Raymond Tony, I would suggest agency route (but there again I would!). Seriously though, if the vacancy is urgent, safety critical or requires specific skills. You are probably better using a specialist agency to recruit for you, as they can use their databases to provide a pre-screened shortlist of candidates that could all carry out the duties of the vacancy. Agencies will charge for their services, but this is only on a success basis (unless an executive search is required). And whilst this can be seen by some as expensive, the cost is actually less than the cost of advertising and your time spent filtering and screening volumes of CV's. Hopefully this can help. Regards David

Posted By Mark Bywater Tony, I suspect your company is based in York (Clifton Moor) and so am I. What vacancies do you currently have with salary details, please? You can reply to my private email if preferred, then you won't fall foul of the dreaded AGUs, but as a company and not an agency I suspect you won't. My CV by return if interested. Kind regards, Mark
