What type of work are you looking for and in what area of health and safety? What work experience have you had so far? (Not necessarily health and safety).

Just out of interest, what do recruiters and persons involved in hiring and firing think about the length of CVs? I have mine pared down to what I believe is the minimum information that will do me justice, but it runs to three pages. I also use a slightly larger font size than other people I know (12pt) as I know that this is a recommended size for those with minor visual impairments.

I am sure it is not as horrid as you think, but maybe it is not as reader friendly as it could be. Are you selling yourself and your abilities to your best advantage. One the other hand, does anyone out there have any useful hints for an older person trying to improve their own CV in today's job market. Employers seem to require totally different things than they did 20 or more years ago.
Joe my advice is to sell your skills and abilities. That must help in some way. Good Luck with the job hunting and the next CV you produce.
