Candidates will have the following competencies, skills and requirements: - A degree in Environmental, Health and Safety / scientific / technical discipline and appropriate post graduate EHS qualification. - Minimum 5 years EHS (Enviromental, Health and Safety) Management experience or audit experience. - Strong communication and team working skills. - Highly developed safety risk management and Occupational Hygiene competency is desirable. - Well developed team skills essential. Job Responsibilties: candidates will: • Lead or support audits of designated GSK facilities / sites / functions and key contract manufacturers /suppliers • Co-ordinate audit activities for a defined area of the global network/supply chain or contract manufacturers • Develop designated global EHS guidelines/ supporting tools • Lead or participate in due diligence or divestiture risk assessments, on an assigned basis • Co-ordinate the provision of audit follow up and support information, training and assistance to sites to ensure continuous improvement in liaison with other EHS professionals • Develop and implements agreed programmes to contribute to continuous improvement in EHS management and risk control in defined areas or parts of the business • Maintain effective contacts with other central functions, sites and relevant external bodies to ensure EHS is incorporated into assigned business programmes or projects • Provide training and support for integrated EHS management systems to ensure robustness and capable of certification to appropriate standards • Ensure identified best practices are shared globally and manage global alerts, on an assigned basis. • Manage key databases and conduct data analysis on an assigned basis Candidates will have the following abilities: - Ability to work independently and as part of a team and show initiative in each role. Well developed problem solving and analytical skills. - Organizational skills and a proven ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks, - Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. - language skills highly desirable. - A quick learner who proactively shares knowledge and welcomes knowledge and feedback from other members of the team. - Ability to remain calm and resilient.
