Am I aiming to high!!
I currently work as a Health and Safety adviser for a small adventure training type company. They do assault courses, Fitness running, kayaking, rock climbing, walking in the mountains, paintball shooting and team type tasks through out a residential week work experience.
This is conducted with 30 children from schools and colleges through out the year. I currently do all the risk assessments have an input to policy and control a small budget for safety to train staff in things like first aid etc. I have been doing the job for about 3 years. I passed the NEBOSH course last year. In my spare time I have done a few health and safety inspections for small company’s. I have also done electric testing for them qualified to City and guilds (I have my own liability insurance) I have had experience in accident investigation as we are still being sued.
Would I be able to find enough evidence to do an NVQ level 4 in O H and safety?

Hi
The old NVQ used to be focused on level of risk, the latest version is suitable to any sector. Enrol on the NVQ, what you don't currently do for work and have gaps in your NVQ evidence as a result, will mean you have to start creating things for work and your NVQ - which means work is defienatly benefiting from your continued education.
In a nut shell the NVQ covers. Communication, culture, Risk assessing, training, workplace inspections, accident investigation, auditing, management of H&S including policy & HR issues.
Regards
Linda.
