Posted By snt What type of courses are you implying? I would suggest you audit the skills of the designers, the environment they would be working and what conditions they would be working on. What I can think of relating to designers are courses relating to safety technology - reliability, noise control, fire prevention, ventilation, risk assessment, FMEA, FTA etc. Why not employ me to come on board and help you?

Posted By Liz Bennett David Have a look at www.safetyindesign.org At SiD we are working with a wide range of clients, design practices etc to improve designer competence, provide information and raise the standard of training. We are working in process and pharmaceutical so do not be put off by the original construction/building focus. IOSH is very aware of SiD and we hope to consololidate the relationship by further links. COntact me if you would like more details. Liz Bennett
