I am currently trying to get that elusive first job within Health and Safety.
I have my first job interview coming up soon for an Assistant Health and Safety Advisor, with an Electrical and Mechanical Engineering company.
I am keen to get prepared for the interview and would appreciate any ideas and comments on the type of questions I am likely to be asked with regards to health and safety.
I am an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, and curently in final year of Health and Safety Management Diploma.

Not saying these types of questions will come up, but might be worthwhile preparing yourself -
Why do you want to work in Health & Safety?
What lessons do you think have learned whilst studying for your Diploma?
What problems/risks/hazards did you encounter within electrical & instrumentation, and how did you overcome these?
If we were to offer you the position, how would you tackle the role?
What would you do first, and why?
I am sure that you will come up with a few of your own, along similar lines
One point to remember, its not all about remembering every piece of legislation parrot fashion, its all about understanding how H&S applies to industry and how you manage and deal with the issues.
Good luck
