Hi,
I`ve recently gained the gen.Nebosh cert.Iam looking to gain more qualifications in H&S.Some people have told me to go on and do the nebosh deploma, some have said go and do OU T835 course, some have said go and do NVQ`s.
Costs of the courses would also be a help.
Any advice welcome

Hi Dave,
you answerd a similar question of mine earlier this week. I think i'mj going to take the BSC route rather than NEbosh. It is still level 6 and i've got good reports from peolpe who have done or are doing it.
i think with the combination of Nebosh cert it will be the way to go.
cheers
Michael

Hi I have been looking into the options recently to advance both my competence/knowledge of the subject in order to attain a higher position in both employment and with IOSH (Hand in glove stuff).
The BSC level 6 even combined with the Gen Cert will not entitle you to full membership, I think its GradIOSH then CPD for some time, etc. The NEBOSH Dip however will upon successful completion merit you for IOSH full membership status, which although very blooming expensive is the way to go if thats what you are after. Most employers require this for the big buck jobs (plus experience of course).
Choice then is which is the best way to obtain the Dip, im thinking of doing the distance learning to keep the cost down.
Good luck with whatever route you decide is best for you.
Chris

Chris, that's not quite correct, the Nebosh Diploma also only gets you GradIOSH in its own right, there is then two years of Initial Professional Development before you qualify for CMIOSH. So from that point of view there's no difference between the two diplomas.
