Posted By Bill Fisher For the benefit of Gary and others reading this Thread: An individual (not a Consultant) looking for work can post details of the region of the country they are interested in working in and the type of work/discipline they are competent or interested in. Have a look at the Web Manager's posting at http://www.iosh.co.uk/in...um=2&thread=21080&page=1 As you will see it is those looking for staff who connot post details of their organisation etc. They have to use the e-mail links

Posted By Bill Fisher Dave I am not going to reinvent the wheel as there is a clear picture in everyones' mind as to what constitutes the individual looking for work versus the 'Consultant'. You can start by reviewing the following section of the Forums: http://www.iosh.co.uk/in...cfm?go=consultancy.main. If you still require further clarification then do feel free to contact IOSH HQ who will be happy to provide that for you. Bill

Posted By Dave McIness Hi Bill My original question wasn't supposed to be a trick question. I sometimes works as an associate, I sometimes do contract work and at other times I work directly for clients. Am I a consultant or an individual?

Posted By Bill Fisher Dave Sorry I wasn't trying to have a 'swipe' or whatever, I didn't want to create the wrong picture in anyone's mind. Based on what you say I would not see you as an individual who would, on the Forum, indicate that they were looking for employment. Your route is likely to be the Consultants' register; see http://www.iosh.co.uk/in....cfm?go=consultancy.main
