I note that there are several messages , in response to job search pleas, that have been replace by the phrase

"[The content of this message cannot be displayed at this time"

Is this because the message contained a reference naming a company or agency having vacancies that could be applied for, and inviting the person seeking employment to contact said company/agency?

I appreciate that IOSH has the policy of 'no advertising' [which many of us do not necessarily agree with] but I am concerned that some job-seeking members might be losing out to the Censor's Blue Pencil.

Any thoughts?

Yes, I have my thoughts but had better not say on here! It's a delicate subject with some at the moment. If you'd care to e.mail me, I'm happy to discuss 'Off Air'!

I must add that my comments were merely to highlight the breaking of the AUGs.

Hello members,

Recently we have had to remove messages featuring recruitment agency details which have been posted in response to members stating their need for work. This is because advertising is not permitted on IOSH forums, as stated in the AUGs.

We ask that all job vacancy details are communicated through private emails. Once logged in you can access another member’s email address by clicking on their name (this will appear in red if the member is happy to reveal their email address). Job seekers must therefore choose to reveal their email address.

We hope this clarifies the situation and wish all job seekers luck in their search.

Thank you,

Sima Patel
